I am sick of online poker for idiots who don't know what they are doing....

Playing 3/6 limit and stupid ***** calls every bet and raise to river with a 2h/7h

and pulls out a heart on the river and raises with a 7h for a high card...

Are you FVCKING KIDDING!!!!!This shet never happens when I play live...

I am getting sick of playing online and wish I lived closer to the casino so I did not have to play against these fvckheads...............

agreed, very tough to consistently win playing limit online. I fare a little better at pot limit and no limit but still run into the same. Best bang for my buck is sit n go's, done very well playing them. Forget about bigger tournaments, might as well play bingo. One thing for sure is the cards are not the same as playing live.

I'll say it again: Thank God for televised poker in general and Chris Moneymaker in particular.

Live poker is better in so many ways to it's online counterpart.

If the closest legal poker room wasnt 200 miles away I would be there every night. I consistantly win live but my online results are much more voltile.

Online poker has no tells, no absolute integrity, and you don't know with whom you are playing.

I just play online for $hits and giggles. Real poker players play live, and only live. If they play anything else they are either not very good or play because they are getting paid to promote the room.

when playing online, fold a lot, and bet on high percentage hands.

frozen tourney

playing 3 table 5/1 last night at party poker (no limit hold'em). 4of us left and the table freezes, we could still chat, and about 10 minutes later, it unfroze, and we were able to finish.
Has anyone had this happen, a guy at my table said it happened to him, and he only got his entry back.....Actually meant to post this as new thread, but hopefully a few guys will read it

yea party freezes up quite a bit actually and disconnections as well....however they give you so much time to reconnect that it usually happens before your folded....as for the freezing just dont make the mistake of leaving cus it will restart, sometimes 30 mins later. you leave you'll be folded out.

So online pros aren't real poker players? Or they are just not very good?

thanks pro, I talked to my son who is at college and plays, he said one time it took about an hour and a half, but he stuck it out with 2 other guys, it came back on and they just picked up all the quitters blinds, and he won. lol. Noy sure i would wait like that for 6 dollar investment, but good to know.

Online can be more profitable than live but it is a heck more volatile. First I read Tanaka's stuff and did quite well. Then I read Sklansky's book and had some success with that approach. But as I got more into following Sklansky my performance dropped. Now after logging a few hundred thousand hands online(I don't think thats an exagerration) I've come to kind of my own approach for playing.

You just have to accept you will get bad beats. If a flush draw is on the flop you might as well figure someone is chasing it. If an A hits you might as well accept that someone has a top pair. It doesn't help the feeling when you are holding a pair of K's with an A kicker and lose to K3 when a 3 comes on the river but thats just the way it is.

There are bad players and they will disrupt the normal way the game is played. If one bad player sites at a live table they are a fish. Online you are surrounded by so many fish they overwhelm you.

Over time by playing a bit loose on the flop, a bit tight thereafter and mixing some aggressive and some slow play you can come ahead. But it can be extremely frustrating.

Online Poker or any Poker for that matter has many tells. Probably the most important tells are the way the other players are playing and reacting with the action/cards. You got to know how all the players are playing-agressive, slow etc. The players faces give you something, but the players action and the way they play gives you alot also IMO.

Sure you will get bad beats, everyone gets them from time to time, but the good players make lots of money off the bad players in the long run:103631605
